Buchans for Towbars is a family run business that’s run by people who really means business!
Brothers and business partners Neil and Ewan Buchan operate a successful group of companies including Buchan Automotive, Buchans for Towbars, McRae Homes and 4x4 Hire (Scotland).
The first of four businesses, Buchan Automotive, was formed by the brothers in the early 1980’s as an accident repair centre for private and commercial vehicles. Buchan Automotive specialises in high quality body repair work for prestige vehicles while undertaking the repairs on its sister 4x4 Hire company’s fleet .
McRae Homes was formed by Neil in 1998 as a building and property development company focussing on projects in and around the Cambuslang area.
It is responsible for the creation of over 50 new build houses as well as the exclusive regeneration project Lomond View.
4x4 Hire (Scotland) is a commercial and prestige vehicle hire business which focuses exclusively on four wheel drive vehicles. Based in both Glasgow and Edinburgh this latest venture was established by Ewan in November 2000 and now has a fleet of over 60 vehicles.
A vast client base has been established and encompasses all market segments ranging from the biggest construction companies to the Police Force, film companies and all sectors of the tourism industry.
